Hutch Fund Presentation from Chris Perez
The Hutch Fund began in 2003 and is named after Dick Hutchinson, a devoted SAAR REALTOR®.
He was a selfless man who gave freely of his time and energy to the Association and it's members.
When “Hutch” passed away in 2000 the Association found out that he had been faced with financial hardships towards the end of his life.
The REALTOR® community often is on the forefront when people are in need; however, we often overlook our own members.
Ann McCartney, Bob Peirce and Micki Lang had the idea to establish a fund that could be used by SAAR members and their immediate family members in times of dire need.
Today, the Hutch Fund has had 50 candidates and has given out over two hundred thousand dollars.
STAAR Night is the major fundraiser for the Hutch Fund.
